Gear Hive is the brainchild of a seasoned audio engineer with a 20-year obsession for all things recording. Born out of a profound understanding of what creatives crave in their studio spaces, Gear Hive brings you furniture that doesn't just serve your studio's functional needs but also elevates its aesthetic. Where design meets utility, all our products are tailored for the recording studio of today.

Each and every piece of lumber (yes, we use wood!) used for our products is hand selected and sourced from the best local distributors. Our selection process prioritizes the most appealing grain, color tones, and overall character to ensure the highest standard of materials for our creations. Unlike many other companies that use painted MDF, particle board, or other less stable mediums, our furniture is made from wood and sprayed with a high-performance top coat. Another important component is our durable rack rails. We use 1/8” alloy steel rack rails crafted by Penn Elcom for all of our products.

Not only are we a USA based company but we also use products that are from the USA as well. For example, our wood comes from one of the oldest family-owned forest product companies (Murphy) and is located right here in the Pacific Northwest. All their wood is sustainably sourced from local forests and looks absolutely beautiful. The clear coat used on everything we make is also manufactured here in the states by Gemini Industries out of Oklahoma and Texas. They are a 100% employee-owned company founded in 1964.
